Medical Bill Assistance

Iowa Medical Bill Assistance

Iowa residents may receive assistance with their medical bills by contacting CCCS of Northeastern Iowa at (866) 720-9050. If you are a resident of Ames, Forest City, Grinnell, Marshalltown, Mason City or Waterloo you may request a face-to-face counseling session. They can help you

develop a repayment plan that also takes into account your other debt obligations, including credit cards and loans.

In addition, Horizons provides family services including a consumer credit counseling service. They can help you get the help you need so that your medical bills do not ruin your financial situation. Call (319) 398-3943 for help. Horizons serves the Cedar Rapids and Coralville areas.

Alternatively, a medical billing advocate may be able to review your bills for errors. MedEx Review has an office in New Hampton. Call 641-394-5800.

If you have struggled with medical bills and need continued care, you might want to see if you qualify for free healthcare. The Community Health Free Clinic provides services to families that are uninsured or otherwise underserved. You might even have access to reduced cost or free prescription drugs. Call (319) 363-0416 to inquire about assistance programs provided to the general public.
